I looked at a reliable source, and I believe the author’s purpose is to inform, because the author is giving facts based on a poll, which says that 84% of iPad 2 users said that they were happy with the product, which is saying something, especially compared to its competitors, such as Amazon (Kindle) and Barnes & Noble (Nook).
The important thing is reliability, which if it is not, could dash everything just said to dust. I believe it is reliable because of some key details needed on a site.
• 1) The site has a status on updates and when it was published.
• 2) The site has advertisements, which goes to show that some companies trust the site and believe that it is reliable.
• 3) They have a link to contact them in case anything is amiss.
• 4) They present a lot of facts, they are straightforward w/ out bias or slant, the article has common sense. The author has no viewpoint on the subject. He is merely relaying the statistics.
So all in all, I believe this source is reliable.
